Non-Operative treatment of Dupuytren’s Disease hand and finger flexion contractures

nonoperative treatment for dupuytren's contractures - hand care rhode island11.3.2009-- Dr. Edward Akelman has begun using Xiaflex (collagenese) injections as nonoperative treatment of Dupuytren’s contractures. Dr. Akelman was involved in the National CORD I study of Dupuytren’s contractures that was published in the September 2009 New England Jourmal of Medicine which was a national clinical trial continued to study the effects of this prior to FDA approval.
