Courtney A. Wagner, PA-C, ATC is the Physician Assistant to Dr. Ramin Tabaddor in the Division of Sports Medicine of University Orthopedics. She has been with University Orthopedics since August 2018. Courtney treats patients with a wide range of general orthopedic issues with a specialized interest and training in sports related injuries. She spends her time both in the office seeing patients and assisting in the operating room alongside Dr. Tabaddor.
Courtney grew up in Southwestern Pennsylvania and received her undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness with a minor in Athletic Coaching from The State University of New York College at Buffalo in 2007. She completed a Master of Science in Athletic Training at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia in 2009 and then served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Courtney completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies program at Northeastern University in 2013. Courtney is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is also a board-certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC).
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS). Courtney has also served as a clinical preceptor for Physician Assistant students from Bryant University and King’s College.
Prior to moving back to New England and joining University Orthopedics in 2018, Courtney began her career at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Orthopaedics Institute in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania specializing in total joint replacement, sports medicine, and trauma surgery. She is an avid ice hockey player and enjoys camping, hiking, and whitewater rafting.
Courtney sees patients at the Kettle Point and East Greenwich campuses.
