| I've been a patient of Dr Hulstyn for the last 13 yearson my first visit to see him (for what appeared to be a complicated problem in my rt knee) he immediately diagnosed what 3 other dr's missed/couldn't see on the MRI and "squeezed" me in the next day for surgery. In the aftermath of those first two surgeries to fix my knee (lost 95% or so of my lateral meniscus after a repair failed to take), I received an honest estimate of when my knee would fail and what to do to prolong it for as much time as possible. When my left shoulder stopped working correctly (years after he successfully repaired a SLAP and Bankhart tear), he kept working to find the root cause and got me the best dr's to manage the problem (torn long thoracic nerve). He is the only doctor i will ever let touch my broken down and beat to hell knees and shoulder as his diagnostic and surgical skills are excellent. Great bed side manner, hell of a surgeon (even his students are good) and without hesitation I recommend people to him to anyone with a knee or shoulder problem. My experience with Dr Hulstyn has led me to recommend UniOrtho to people with issues outside his area of expertise. Hasn't gone wrong yet. | 100% |

| Dr. Hulstyn is kind, clear, and has a good bedside manner. Unfortunately, I am still having issues with my knee after my arthroscopic surgery. Still inflamed and having a lot of pain/discomfort. I can walk, run, dance...no problem. Walking down the stairs is a bit painful. I still cannot sit on my knees. We are trying the cortisone shot, prednisone, and glucosamine chondroitin. If this does not work with a month, he will bring me back in for another MRI. Fingers crossed!! | 100% |

Otherwise, I'd still be out of work with the wrong diagnosis of a sprained knee by two other doctors ﴾from an other practice﴿ who didn't know what they were talking about. Because Dr. Hulstyn listens to his patients, the right treatment was given for a dislocated kneecap and meniscus, as well as a completely torn ACL. I had an 8:30 am xray appointment and waited 30 minutes to have the xrays taken at 9am. I had a 9am appointment with the doctor but didn't see him until 9:45am. I was very disappointed in the wait time especially being an early morning appointment. |
