At OrthoDIRECT, our goal is to provide prompt, high-quality orthopedic care when you need it most. While we do our best to see every patient as quickly as possible, there may be times when we reach capacity. During these busy periods, wait times may be longer than usual, and we may need to prioritize patients based on the urgency of their condition. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to care for everyone as efficiently and safely as possible.

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from orthopedic practice effective December 31, 2025. After dedicating over 40 years to the field and the community, it is time to embark on the next chapter of my life.
I would like to express my appreciation to the many patients who have entrusted me with their care. It has been an honor to care for you and your families, witness your resilience and be part of your journey to recovery.
Along my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working with exceptional colleagues and staff. Together we have built comprehensive services that will continue to provide the highest quality of care in the State.
As I transition into retirement, I am confident that the team at University Orthopedics will continue to provide exceptional care to you and your loved ones. Our subspecialty care team providing hip and knee arthroplasties include twelve highly skillful physicians including Michael C. Mariorenzi, MD. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Michael C. Mariorenzi, or to request a copy of your medical records, please call (401) 799-5012.
I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Please accept my very best wishes for your continued health and happiness in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Louis J. Mariorenzi, M.D.
