Dr. Michael C. Mariorenzi obtained his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating with honors, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Brown University, where he received multiple recognitions for his outstanding leadership and patient care including the prestigious Haffenreffer House Staff Excellence Award. Dr. Mariorenzi then stayed at Brown to complete fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery where he mastered the care of complex traumatic injuries as well as routine fracture care. Following this, he completed another fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, becoming an expert in hip and knee replacement surgeries. His advanced surgical training focused on primary hip and knee replacement, complex revision surgeries, management of complications, and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement.
Dr. Michael C. Mariorenzi then joined Orthopaedic Associates, following in the footsteps of his father, uncle, and grandfather, who have led the practice before him. He will help lead Orthopaedic Associates to become a regional leader in joint replacement care. While primarily an expert in hip and knee replacements, including robotic-assisted surgery, Dr. Mariorenzi also cares for traumatic injuries affecting all body parts such as broken bones or fractures. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Mariorenzi enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and his family. He also enjoys getting outside to enjoy beautiful Rhode Island summers and doing woodworking projects.
