James Bender, PA

Physician Assistant

James Bender, PA-C is a NCPPA board certified Physician Assistant who currently specializes in Sports Medicine. He works closely with Raymond Pavlovich, MD to treat patients with various shoulder and knee disorders. He works both independently in clinic and in the operating room with Dr. Pavlovich.

James was born in NY but grew up in Holden, MA. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from University of New Hampshire in 2000. He went on to earn his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University Bouvé College of Health Science in 2004. He is nationally certified by the National Commission for Certification for Physician Assistants (NCPPA) and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS).

James has worked in Orthopedics since graduating from Northeastern. He has experience in general orthopedics, trauma, arthroplasty as well as spine, with his current focus being sports medicine. Previous experience has included covering local collegiate sporting events. Personal interests include live music, guitar and of course sports, especially the Patriots. He enjoys hiking and exploring local parks like Massasoit with his favorite pup, Braylee. James sees patients at the Easton, MA office.
