Kevin Galinat, PA

Physician Assistant

With 10 years of experience in musculoskeletal rehab and orthopedics, Kevin is a graduate of MGH Institute of Health Professions (class of 2022) who joined the University Orthopedics team to specialize in hand and elbow injuries with Dr. Vanessa Lund in December 2022. His professional interests include optimizing the patient experience, teaching and mentorship, organizational improvement, and sports medicine, including volunteering at events such as the Boston Marathon. He received the Director’s Award while at MGH for his involvement in JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion), teaching assistant in anatomy, peer mentorship, and overall awesomeness. He is licensed to diagnose, treat, perform procedures, order imaging, and prescribe in MA and RI, and sees patients at our Raynham location with Dr. Lund, assisting in surgery at Morton Hospital.

Prior to becoming a physician assistant, he cared for athletes in collegiate sports as an athletic trainer at Bryant University and Boston College, as well as per diem coverage for youth, high school, college, and semi-pro competitions which he continues to this day. To broaden his background, he then worked at South Shore Orthopedics as a medical assistant, scribe, and casting and bracing specialist. He received his undergraduate degree from UConn in Athletic Training (’13), and later his master’s degree from Boston College in Sports Leadership and Administration (’17). He grew up in a small town in CT, and currently resides in Stoughton, MA with his wife and 2 mischievous cats. Personal hobbies include playing sports of any kind, cycling, outdoors, woodworking, and home improvement.
