Sonia Rodrigues, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant to Dr. Joseph Gil in the Division of Hand and Upper Extremity of University Orthopedics.
Sonia earned her Bachelor of Science from Franklin Pierce University in 2018 and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from D'Youville University in 2022. Sonia is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
In her role as a board-certified Physician Assistant, Sonia’s responsibilities include assessment and treatment of upper extremity disorders and disease of joints, soft tissue, and bones of the elbow, wrist, and hand. She also orders and interprets diagnostic imaging and labs, as well as performs in-office procedures.
She spends her time seeing patients at both the Kettle point and East Greenwich offices as well as assisting in the operating room.
