Katy Carney is a physician assistant in our Middletown office and Newport Hospital. She sees patients in our outpatient office and assists in surgery at Newport Hospital with Dr. Antoci, Dr. Budacki, Dr. Bragdon, Dr. Staebler, and Dr. Maher.
Katy completed her undergraduate degree from Penn State University then a master's degree in exercise physiology from Temple University in Philadelphia prior to her physician assistant studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2016.
Before joining University Orthopedics in 2021, Katy began her career in orthopedics in Newport, focusing on sports medicine and total joint replacement. Katy is a member of Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS), Rhode Island Academy of Physician Assistants (RIAPA), and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
