Dr. Arcand treats a wide range of sports related injuries, with both operative and non-operative methods, specializing in upper and lower extremities. Typical injuries include rotator cuff tears and impingement, shoulder dislocations, arthritis, fractures as well as ligament tears and knee meniscal and ligament injuries.

Savannah Marcelino, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant to Dr. Michel Arcand of University Orthopedics.She specializes in the evaluation and management of a wide variety of general orthopedic injuries with a focus in sports-related injuries. Savannah completes initial patient evaluations, orders and interprets diagnostic imaging, performs office procedures such as aspirations and injections, and provides pre and post-operative care as well as assists Dr. Arcand in the operating room.
Savannah grew up in Massachusetts and completed her undergraduate degree at Bridgewater State University in Athletic Training in 2012 and went on to earn her Masters of Science degree at MGH Institute of Health Professions in Charlestown, Massachusetts in 2019. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) and is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
Prior to joining University Orthopedics in 2020 Savannah began her career working as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) at various high schools/colleges/organizations in Southeastern Massachusetts for 7 years. She also worked as an Injury Prevention Specialist in the hospital outpatient setting.
